Chili Love

I don't understand why the air conditioning is going here at work when it's 40 degrees outside?? That's absolutely ridiculous.

Anyways, I didn't do my yoga or strength exercises yesterday. In addition to fixing last night's dinner, we're having chili tonight so I got everything chopped up and measured out last night. I put everything in the crock pot so all I had to do this morning was take the crock pot pot out of the fridge and put in the crock pot cooker thing and turn it on. As much as I don't like cold weather, I love chilis and soups. We've been looking forward to this chili for months now...it's really really good!

I've already done my 5.5 mile run this morning and although it's chilly outside, that makes me run a little faster but it also means my legs don't feel as loose. Oh, I got a question yesterday about my pace...it's slow. My average is 12-13 minute miles. I don't know what my pace is for my running portions or for my walking portions of my 4:1's. Since I run outside and just have a heart rate monitor (no fancy Garmin for me although if Santa brought me one this year, I wouldn't complain), it's hard for me to know. I probably walk at a pace of 3.5-3.8 miles per hour and doing some math that would leave my running pace between 4.9-5.3 mph (11 and 12.5 minute miles). Hope that helps.

Today's Plan:
Activity: 5.5 mile run
Pre Run Energy: 1 Odwalla Trail Mix bar
Breakfast: 1/3 cup oatmeal, 1 banana, 1 Tbsp PB
Lunch: Leftover Frittata, yogurt, 2 clementines, 1 Cranberry Blueberry whole grain bagel (Pepperidge Farm)
Snack: 100 cal pack of Chips Ahoy Candy Bites or 1 serving Honey Graham Bears
Dinner: 1 serving Chorizo, Beef, and Black Bean Chili, 1 whole grain corn bread muffin, 1 glass red wine, corn on the cob, tomato and cucumber salad
